How It Works

Before You Begin
Before reading the Day 1 devotional, gather the family together to read the "Meaning of the Game."

How to Play
Throughout the month of December, hide the empty manger every night after the children go to bed. Hide the empty manger starting the evening of November 30th.
On December 1, the children all search for the manger. The child who finds the manger is the winner for the day.
Some time after the manger is found, gather the family together to read the devotional for the day.

Finding Baby Jesus
On Christmas Eve, place the included baby in the manger when you hide it that night.
On Christmas morning, the children will see Baby Jesus in the Manger - and celebrate together!
Features Include
2-page glossary of key terms
2 pages listing the main ideas and goals for each day
God’s plan of Salvation presentation

Our family has been in search of a Christmas devotional that is theologically sound yet appropriate for our young kids. Manger in Danger exceeded our expectations! It is beautifully written and illustrated, and included a little baby Jesus manger scene. I especially like that each day there are discussion questions at the end of the page. It all came beautifully packaged and easy to store again for next year! This is exactly what we were looking for. This will be a wonderful blessing to our family this Christmas season.

What I loved most was how it fostered family bonding. My 3 boys, were excited to participate each day, and it sparked conversations about faith and the true meaning of Christmas. The glossary also goes into detail about the main idea from each day and goals for each days reading. the last page goes over the God’s Plan for Salvation, covering the Gospel message, Gods plan for redemption and salvation for His people.

It is beautifully packaged and should be on everyone’s Christmas gift to others this year! A great way to start traditions that focus solely on Jesus!
