316 NEWS : LSB, NASB, Bella Paper & JOB OPENINGS (Irvine, Ca.)

Today we are excited to share that after months of detailed work, the metadata file for the LSB that includes the cross references and footnotes has been completed! 316 now has a file for programmers to begin their work after licensing agreements have been established. We already have several of them signed (Accordance, Logos, Blue Letter Bible, Literal Word, Laridian, TheBible.org) and expect to have more in the next few weeks. Over the next months these partnerships will allow the LSB a broader presence in the digital Bible category.

During the months of metadata work and since the complete LSB was released in print in the fall of 2021, a few verses and subheadings have been refined. To learn more about the changes, please visit the page listing those changes.

The first full reference edition of the LSB is being called the ICR for Inside Column Reference. Here is your first sneak peek from the fine folks at 2K Denmark! The 11-point font, single column Scripture text and 90,000+ references/footnotes make for a robust Bible study edition! 

The ICR project will take months to develop and proof before heading to the printer this summer. When the project approaches the beginning of the printing and binding stages we will make an announcement that includes details of our hardcover, paste-down and edge-lined bindings and open up preordering on our site. This will be our largest print run of the LSB to date and it is being printed and bound in Korea.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Bible manufacturing continues to be a challenge with global supply shortages. Bible paper, ribbons and vinyl liner material are all materials that have been in short supply this year.  Right now our inventory assortment is not optimal due to production delays caused by material shortages.

We had hoped to be receiving stock on the following items this month, but we are now expecting them to arrive in June. Once we receive advanced copies we will add photos, but for now, we are releasing the product specifications via their product pages.

We are also excited to share that this summer our Bella Paper line is launching Wall Calendars and Planners that include Scripture from the LSB! We hope you enjoy these images of the cover designs and interior work that is in progress. More information will be released once we receive advanced copies from the printer. In a future post we will share more stationary designs being released later this year.
